Sokol Shasivari

Sokol Shasivari is an experienced financial supervisor with nearly 17 years in banking and insurance regulation. He has been with the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) since 2008, holding various supervisory roles. In January 2025, he was appointed Director of the Department overseeing MFIs, NBFIs, PIs, EMIs, and crypto-asset operators. Previously, he led the On-Site Insurance Supervision Division and spent a decade in banking supervision. From 2021 to 2024, he served on the Board of the Kosovo Council for Financial Reporting (KCFR), including a period as Acting Chair. Mr. Shasivari holds a Master’s degree in Financial Markets and Banking and has contributed to major reforms including IFRS 9, Basel II, and risk-based supervision.
