Pavel Shust is an expert in innovative regulatory approaches for the financial sector, with global experience spanning Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. He has led the design and implementation of Regulatory Sandboxes and e-KYC frameworks in countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Currently, he supports IFC digital finance projects and coordinates an EU-funded IFAD initiative on remittances and migrant business digitization. Pavel focuses on pragmatic, context-specific regulation that benefits both regulators and market players. With a PhD in Political Science, he combines academic insight with practical regulatory solutions, and frequently lectures on innovation in the financial sector.
