Panelist

Matthias Timm is a member of IFC’s Country Advisory and Economics team, based in Vienna, where he leads the Digital Financial Services (DFS) Advisory Portfolio across the Western Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, and Georgia. Since joining IFC in 2015, he has focused on financial inclusion, digital transformation, and fintech ecosystem development. He has also contributed to lending operations in the West Bank and Gaza, helping implement digital financial products in fragile markets. Matthias holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s in international relations, and is a Certified Expert in Digital Finance and Fast Payments.
