Mr. Jonas Westerlund is Ambassador Designate of Sweden to Kosovo, with extensive experience in diplomacy, security policy, and international missions. He has held senior roles within the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden and represented Sweden in multilateral institutions including the United Nations, NATO, and the OSCE. His career includes postings in Afghanistan, Iraq, Eritrea, and Kenya, as well as leadership roles in EU and UN missions. Mr. Westerlund has worked on peacebuilding, security policy, and international cooperation initiatives. He holds degrees in political science and diplomacy, with studies completed in Sweden and France.
